· Take a calcium supplement each day,
as this has been proven in many cases to decrease the ability of stones to form.
· Avoid grapefruit juice.
A report published in Science News said, “Strangely, an 8-ounce glass of grapefruit juice daily boosted the risk of stones by 44 percent.”
· The same report said that the moderate intake of wine helped to lower the risk of getting kidney stones by 20 percent or more. Tea
and coffee also had moderate positive effects, reducing the risk by 8 & 9 percent respectively.
· Ensure
that you get enough exercise.
